The main entrance to the house is definitely impressive with its hand-carved staircase, 20 foot ceiling, leaded crystal chandelier, stained glass windows (above and left) and 4' wide ruby red gold stained glass picture window.
The window pictured above is on the upper half of the stairwell. The center part of the window is beveled glass. In the mornings, the sun shines beautifully through the window and can be seen from the master bedroom across the hall.
The woodwork throughout the house has been preserved in its original condition. The floors, moulding and most doors throughout the house are wide-plank clear fir which has a beautiful reddish color. Base moulding throughout the house is approximately 8 inches tall while the casing around the doors is approximately 4" wide (above). All transoms are working with the original hardware.
